Yep, it's a snow day at TFC - no services! Depressing, right? WRONG!
I received a called this morning from a 23 year old young man who has been to TFC a few times and was coming to TFC this morning to give his life to the Lord, but we are "closed". The truth is this: WE ARE NEVER CLOSED UNLESS WE CLOSE OURSELVES OFF TO OTHERS.
So, do you have to be inside of the 4 walls to give your life to Jesus?
No way man. This young man has been through a lot, even prison and has looked for that "peace, joy, happiness" that he could never find. He has now found it in Jesus Christ! He stated this verse from his heart:
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away: behold, all things have become NEW! 2 Corinthians 5:17
He now is a new creation in Christ!
He also said that the temptations are so hard to overcome and he knew that the enemy is more powerful than him. Well, you know I couldn't be quiet for that! The truth is this: Greater is He (God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit) that is in us than he (the enemy) who is in the world!
When you are tempted and want to give in to that temptation, just say the name of Jesus or throw the Word of God in his face. He has to leave you alone at that point! He can't stand the name of Jesus or the Word of God!
